“No other game combines the wonder of nature with the discipline of sport in such carefully planned ways. A great golf course both frees and challenges a golfer’s mind.”

Tom Watson

Set in one of the most significant Agriculture regions of the United States, this area has been one of the primary sources of feed grasses and vegetables for the world. At one time, Holtville was known as the Carrot Capital of the world, growing more Carrots than any other region in the world.

The Barbara Worth Golf Course is a classic tree-lined gem built in 1927 and redesigned by noted course architect Lawerence Hughes in the late 1950s. The Par 72 course is short by today’s standards, measuring between 6,300-6,500 yards. But don’t be fooled, the layout will challenge the best of golfers with some small sloping greens and fairways lined with tall, very old Salt Cedar trees.
